...THE OPPOSITION IN KK WON EVEN THOUGH THE VOTES ARE SPLIT THIS BADLY!@!11!!1!1
Three cheers for Hiew King Cheu. Three cheers for DAP. The opposition leader will be still from the DAP since the DAP still won the most parliamentary seats in the lower house among the opposition.
But there's one thing I have to say - I had really liked that BN guy because he was an ex-student of Tshung Tsin, but now that he had lost, he had thrown the reputation of our school into the big wide sea. =\
(P.S:
(P.S.S: The opposition managed to form the state government of Penang, Perak, Kedah, Selangor and Kelantan!)
(P.S.S.S: MIC appears to be the biggest loser with almost all its top leaders axed, including president S Samy Vellu and deputy president G Palanivel. MIC deputy president S Sothinathan was defeated in the Teluk Kemang parliamentary seat. Also shown the exit was its MIC Youth chief SA Vigneswaran and Women’s wing chief P Komala Devi. And this is all thanks to the Hindraf. The MIC's being denial all the while condemning Hindraf this is what they get in the end: the door out.)
(P.S.S.S.S: Stay calm. No victory parade. Don't give any party the reason to declare an emergency.
Stay calm. Stay cool. Stay home.)
Update on 4:20 am: The opposition officially denied BN 2/3 majority! However so, the opposition leader will be from PKR with them having 28 parliamentary seats compared to DAP's 27. Anwar on his way to become opposition leader after being sacked as Deputy Prime Minister! XD

Today, a group of Malaysians who submitted a memorandum to the Indonesian embassy in Kuala Lumpur in protest of the deteriorating air quality in Malaysia caused by haze originating from Indonesia were greeted with sarcasm from its First Secretary (political affairs), who goes by the single name Mudzakir:
“If you can guarantee the wind will not blow (in this direction), then I can guarantee it (haze) will not happen again.” [...]
“When we export oxygen, you don’t say anything; when we export haze, you complain.”
Malaysiakini says the Indonesian diplomat appeared to have repeated similar remarks made yesterday by Indonesia's Forestry Minister Malem Sambat Kaban, who was quoted by Reuters as saying: "We have forests producing oxygen and bringing clean air to them but they don't thank us. Now there's smoke and they complain. There must be a balance."
This draws a remark from DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, who led the group to submit the memorandumofprotest: “I am disappointed. I think I will have to visit the embassy again next year.”
When contacted by Malaysiakini later today, Mudzakir confirmed he had made the remarks that had annoyed the DAP delegation.

Me: You don't expect someone to thank for oxygen although it it not their's, do you? Don't tell me they plan to sell oxygen next. Even now, we have to pay for the only thing which drops down from the sky, water, due to the fact that it's not clean.

Ignoring the title of this update, let me say something... amusing.
After looking at this, http://kurot.livejournal.com/12752.h tml, somehow, I started to have liking to those Digimon pairings which seemed to never going to happen, such as Yamato x Hikari, and I even got high after looking at a few other pairing arts, including the Masaru x Yoshino and Tohma x Yoshino.. lol! @_@;
Earlier before entering the hall for our school's weekly assembly, I went to the library and borrowed a thick book, which is the directory of our country's member of parliament for the term 2004-2009. It's a bit outdated in the minister part though, as Leo Michael Toyad is no longer our Minister of Tourism.
During the assembly, the mainly-using-chinese-and-refuse-to-trans late-what-he-had-said-into-English principal announced that next year's sport houses would be based on this year's class, and this means that we, Junior 3 students, who is going to be re-arranged into Science or Art Stream classes when going into Senior one next year, are going to be in classes having mixed houses for the first time in school history. And also, the cross country race for the year 2007 were cancelled, because of the renovation works being done in Jalan Damai, taking in the consideration of the safety of students of the school.
In our class meeting held after the school assembly, we were supposed to elect a few class representative to the sport house we were representating next year, Green House (the Green House captains didn't announce our class being included in the house, oh bless them!). Of course, although I have no idea why, Chin Yeh Bing won the Male Captain post unopposed, while Leong Kai Wen won the Female Captain post for being active in sports, volleyball mainly. The Male Dancing leader post was won by Andrew Lim, while the Female Dancing leader post went to Vivian Wong, who had no experience or history in dancing at all, although a member of the Dancing Club in school.. Male and Female Marching Head are Jason Yong and Chai Liche respectively. The treasurer post landed on Jackson Chong, who is famous for corruption. Damn it, I should have opposed his nominations, but he won by autocrasy, as all of the votes of those who didn't voted at all automatically went to him. You can see something like this:
Candidate A: 1 vote
Candidate B: 1 vote
Candidate C: 42 votes
I was very unhappy. In my opinion, those fellow people who are able to become a nominee should be proposed by one person, and at least seconded by another person, which means that if a person are even eligible to contest as a nominee, that fellow should have at least 2 votes. =\
Ah, I'll stop now.

I hate the title that I have just wrote, but then, politics in Sabah might have been the hottest, just behind of Kelantan perhaps, a few decades ago. Sabah used to be the 'powerhouse' of democrasy during the 1980 era, when Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), a then opposition party consisting mainly of Roman Catholic Kadazans dusuns got into power when they won the Sabah state elections in 1986, beating USNO and Berjaya. Berjaya and USNO were then BN component parties, but then, they were disbanded when UMNO were sent in from the Peninsula to win back the state. In 1994, PBS won the state election by a small margin, but then... there were 'kataks' (frogs, meaning politicians jumping from a party to another party when winning an election) jumping from the PBS party to BN component parties. In the end, PBS lost the majority, and lost. In the 'kataks', one of them is our famous Datuk Chau Tet On, who used to be Kota Kinabalu MP. He used to be a member of PBS, but he jumped from PBS to MCA, a BN party. I think he was thinking of becoming chief minister, due to the fact that BN promised in the 1994 state election, that if BN got in power, then the chief minister post would be rotated from various races. Here comes Datuk Yong Tek Lee, who also used to be a member of PBS, but he quitted and formed SAPP, but at least he was better than Chau Tet On, he jumped out before the elections, and won the seat based on himself and not the name of the PBS party.
Now, my point of bring on this topic... is that now, Sabah has zero opposition, and the sole opposition is an independent fron Sandakan. And that is why, BN decided to scrap the chief minister rotation. What happened??????!?!??!11?
Okay, recently, if you have read the newspapers, DAP has formed a few new branches in Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan, consisting of Kadazan Dusun members. I cracked. DAP is trying to build an opposition in Sabah here..
http://teresakok.blogsome.com/2006/08/1 8/2-dap-kadazan-dusun-branches-formed-in-k k/trackback/
I wonder will they succeed, but I'm not putting any expectations at all. Dr. Hiew King Cheu, the Sabah DAP chief himself, is not really welcomed by the local community. Of course, if he is going to contest in the Kota Kinabalu seat, he sure is going to lose to BN's Yee Moh Chai, or even PKR's Christina Liew, just like in the 2004 elections. Lalala...
This is just a random update. Sorry for doing it. I know it's pointless.. =\

Go read this, and you'll see something funny. This Mr. Kamarul Khairi Kasin was fined for driving his car, a Perodua Kancil, over the speed limit in the north-south expressway, which was 110KM per hour in 25 January 2006, but the thing is that the police reported his speed at that time as 956KM per hour. That is indeed nine hundred and fifty six freaking kilometers per hour. Walao. Sometimes I think that the police is really really stupid for even issuing a saman for some case like that.
Fuel price hike protest news @ Catcha.com.my
Next is this. Just because of the fuel price hike, they did a protest for it. I don't have an idea why did they wanted to do so. It's really normal for a price hike, and like Badawi said, it's still the lowest in the region, except for Brunei (of course lah, Brunei has too much oil, and my English teacher once said that the people in Brunei even turned on their cooking gas overnight in their backyard, just to scare away wild animals..), and the government can never continue subsidizing petrol. Come to think of it, I say that PAS and Suaram did not do the right thing for the peoples. And I think that PAS deputy president Nasharudin Mat Isa should just keep his mouth shut, as I think he would be doing the same thing if he were the Deputy Prime Minister. Blah. In other country such as the Philippines and Thailand, they protest for a better leader, but in Malaysia here, they even protest for such a small thing. Like usual, the government needs money for development (such as education or sports or even human developments), and not every sen should go for fuel subsidy. See how bad the protest is going: http://community.livejournal.com/malaysi ans/442109.html
