"Nobody wants to be the bad guy. But if everyone's a bad guy, would you want to be the good guy?"
I had this Friday Activity today with the other prefects this afternoon. Jimmy, the Welfare Leader who was in-charged of the activity, decided to ask those Junior 3 and Senior 1 Prefects to discuss amongst themselves to create a performance for us S2 and S3 prefects.
Behind this activity, we S2 prefects were also asked to ignore their performances. We wanted to teach those J3 and S1 prefects an important lesson - that it is important to pay attention to the one speaking in front. So, we were told to give a cold respond to the performance. Jimmy and other S3 prefects wanted those J3 and S1 prefects to feel what is it like to be treated coldly, or even worse, ignored by the crowd, when they're the one speaking.
Not only that it is a lesson for the S1 and J3 prefects, but in fact, it is also one for S2 prefects, in my opinion, at least. We have to learn to be the bad guy. We have to learn to treat those junior prefects more strictly. We have to sacrifice our 'good guy' reputation and be the 'bad guy' for once. Of course, nobody wants to be the bad guy and everyone would rather keep their status quo and be more 'friend' with them. Nobody wants to be hated and anti-ed, right?
This is not my first time actually, being told to be the bad guy. Last year in Mai Aman, I was told to act that I have a leg cramp in the middle of the jungle trekking to test everyone's co-operation and willingness to help carry me back to the rest house. I remember writing something in LJ about it. There, I decided to back off and not act because I fear that everyone would hate me for having to carry me all the way while I'm alright - in other words, I didn't want to be the 'bad guy', I wanted to keep my status quo the way it is. But by not doing it, I failed to help everyone.
That's why, this time I'm determined to be the bad guy. At least I have other S2 prefects with me and if any blaming were to happen, at least I'm not alone.
Well, the plan went rather smoothly but rather off the rail. In fact, it was those J3 and S1 prefects themselves that seemed to treat the event with less enthusiasm which made us look as if we're just... ourselves and nothing special! Or maybe other S2 prefects actually acted as themselves all the while?
However so, when Jimmy disclosed our plans to the J3 and S1 prefects, the reactions were mixed - Sabina cried wile Siung and a few others seemed to be unhappy.
(Seriously, I don't know what Siung's exactly thinking. His face showed dissatisfaction but what's inside his heart is unpredictable, maybe he had expected something like this to happen? Just like although he said he didn't want people to call him Peter, but he was still as happy as a child receiving sweets when he was addressed as Peter in the 3S+1J Gather. He's really like... Kyouya without the spectacles and coolness. )
Well, I particularly don't care much... okay, I do, I admit it. I felt a bit uneasy when Sabina cried. But there's this saying, "ignore the stray cat if you are not going to bring it home," which in here means that I might as well ignore her if I can't actually help her. Again it's like you should not play with a stray cat if you're only going to leave it behind in the end.
Felicia and I managed to board the school bus on time even though we were released a bit late. However so, my brother missed the bus.
On the other hand, well, please forgive me
cavalerie for saying this, but I'm actually happy that you guys lost the first round Mock Trial with Maktab. Seriously! Well, I was unhappy about the fact that Hugh and Shaun were chosen as participants while I wasn't even told of an audition! I was denied the chance of even testing myself! Or was there no audition and the both of them were just chosen by the teachers? AHAHAHA to them!
Now I feel really evil. >D
Seriously, being a bad guy satisfies me. My heart is like a lion being able to roar freely after being forced to purr the whole while.
And I'm going to make this public.
And I hope somebody reads this. Aron, perhaps.

Despite having a rather 'almost-want-to-die' day in school after having 3 hours of Maths extra class with Mr. Lai who is also the discipline master our school, this had just made my day and I feel much better after laughing for a moment. I swear, if I were to be the leader of the creative group for the school bazaar the next few years, I'll be making a flash like this instead of a movie to promote the bazaar, lol. ZOMGLOLOLOLOL!
Talking about Mr. Lai's extra classes, I can tell you, it's damn boring. You can even sleep with your eyelids open wide looking at the whiteboard, daydreaming about other stuffs like 'what is my mom going to cook for dinner' or 'where should I go later on with my boyfriend?' etc. His voice is like a 80-year-old old man talking to his grandchildren telling them useless stories: deep and unclear. Forturnately, he wears/ties a microphone like a necktie on his neck and speaks through it.
Other than that, everything else is quite normal. We prefects have to sell coupons, and with us S1Zhong having 8 prefects and 2 monitors selling coupons, the competition would be higher among us. Looks like I have to aim underclassmen, like for example, ask my brother to sell the coupons in his Junior 2 class, where both of his monitors are out of coupon stock. lole. During our three hour prefect GM (general meeting) on Friday, we had a 45 minute Q & A session about the bazaar, in where I had asked about whether prefects are allowed to give discounts to whomever they sell their coupons to (we will be given a penalty if we were to fail to sell all of the coupons within the time given), they replied telling me that the tactic is not encouraged, but later on they banned the tactic anyways. Here's an insider detail: For the first time ever, if the coupons are sold out, real money can be used! Don't tell anyone about this! This is a special notice for those who read my journal. :D
For the first time ever, I think I had the meeting which had had the most parliament style/taste in it, in where we prefect are the members of parliament, the committee members as well as group leaders are the cabinet ministers and the political secretaries. The head prefect is the prime minister, and the coordinator would be the Yang Di-pertua speaker. I'm thinking too much about this stuffs, lole.

The theme for next year baazar, according to Jimmy, would be "Vic7ory". Sounds a lot like "l33t" to me.
Honestly, I don't seem to remember any of the senior prefect's name other than their surnames. But this is not Japan, or else I could have just called them by their surnames followed by a "senpai". Haiz.

Had went over to AN to make several posts. Corrupt is currently on the hot seat. Go ask him questions if you want. His turn shall end on Tuesday.
As I was about to watch Kanon ep. 8, I noticed that I haven't finish the download of the episode yet. Meanwhile ep. 9 is out liao. Aiyah. Why so fast one?
Talking about animes episodes, I have noticed that I have been writing a walkthrough of the anime episodes instead of a summary or a review. Honestly, I think that I should give myself a word-limit or sort to prevent me from writing too much non-important stuffs.
There's only around 200MB in my E:\ drive again after I had started to download Tsubasa Chronicle eps. 32-40. And worse of all, I had to stop the download halfway to ensure there's a little space for disc burning. I'll be trying to use Nero this time as someone had advised me to do so. This harddrive space problem is really kiling me!!!
